Weavabel's Ocean in Mind collection

With this collection, Weavabel endeavours to reduce the fashion industry's impact on the planet's oceans and waterways. To celebrate World Ocean Day, we have invested in our environment by developing clothing trims and packaging to help ease the burden of waste in our seas.

The first edition of our collection contains labels made using recycled nylon from fishing nets to biodegradable labels, soluble plastics and more. With our second launch, we include tickets and boxes made of GF Smith Notpla seaweed paper, and recycled ocean-bound plastic labels.

We aim to reduce the amount of waste that goes into our marine ecosystems, and thus develop branding that's made with the Ocean in Mind. Watch the videos to see what the collection has to offer.

The materials

Our Ocean in Mind 2.0 collection contains products made from Ocean Bound Plastic certified recycled polyester and GF Smith Notpla board.

Ocean-bound plastic is classed as plastic waste at risk of entering waterways.

The ticket & box are made from GF Smith's paper collaboration with Notpla, which uses the by-products remaining from industrial seaweed processing to help build a circular economy. It is entirely natural, free from any synthetic additives and also recyclable biodegradable.
